We’re excited to introduce the 2025 GameSheet Scholarship recipients: Klarissa Grant, Lexi Dionne, Liam McBean, and Katie Kavanagh! Each of these remarkable students has shown exceptional passion and perseverance both on and off the ice. As they take the next step in their academic and personal journeys, we’re honored to support their ambitions and proud to celebrate their achievements. Congratulations to all!

The pool of applicants was incredibly strong, making the selection process both inspiring and challenging. Your passion, dedication, and achievements did not go unnoticed. While only a few could be selected, each of you is worthy of recognition. We wish you all the very best in the year ahead and continued success in your academic and personal pursuits..


Klarrissa Grant

Klairissa is a dedicated timekeeper from Woodstock, New Brunswick, has been a vital part of her local hockey community for the past six years. She played a key role in implementing GameSheet at Woodstock High School and teaching others, including team managers and officials, how to navigate the app. Known for her exceptional organization and reliability, Klairissa has earned praise from across the province for her work at regular season games and tournaments. She plans to continue her involvement with hockey while studying Criminology at Saint Mary’s University.

“I am so thankful to be a recipient of this years Gamesheet Scholarship, which will greatly help further my education. Scorekeeping in my town has created endless opportunities and friendships of a lifetime! I hope to continue scorekeeping when I come home, and might even look into it while I attend SMU this fall!” – Klarissa Grant

Lexi Dionne

Lexi, a scorekeeper at the Biggby Coffee Ice Cube in Ann Arbor, Michigan, started using GameSheet in October 2023 and quickly found it easy to use and a big improvement over traditional paper methods. She appreciated how simple it was to enter scores and track game details. Overall, Lexi found the system to be a great tool that made her job much easier. A graduate of Ann Arbor Huron High School and she will be studying Literature, Science, and the Arts at the University of Michigan this fall.

Liam McBean

Liam McBean, from Swastika, Ontario, has been deeply involved in hockey since 2021, serving as both a referee and timekeeper across multiple arenas in Northern Ontario. He began using GameSheet early in his officiating career and quickly came to value its user-friendly design. As a timekeeper, Liam especially appreciates how easy it is to search for and enter penalties, and how the system allows him to begin entering goal or penalty information even if not all the details are available right away. This flexibility helps him stay efficient during fast-paced games. Liam credits GameSheet with making game management more streamlined and effective. A graduate of Kirkland Lake District Composite School, he is set to begin his first year in Engineering at Queen’s University.

Katie Kavanagh

Katie Kavanagh, from Duxbury, Massachusetts, has been actively involved in scorekeeping since 2022, working at The Bog Ice Arena, Lovell Arena, and with Massachusetts Hockey. She began using GameSheet during the Massachusetts Hockey State Tournaments and immediately appreciated its convenience and clarity compared to traditional paper methods. Katie found the platform especially helpful for staying organized and maintaining clean, accurate records during fast-paced events. She continues to use GameSheet in her current role and wishes it were standard in every rink. A graduate from New England Academy, Katie will be studying Criminal Justice at Bridgewater State University this fall.
